Ideal for a family of four, or even five with an extra bed, our Family River Chalets have one king size bed and one set of super single bunk beds, along with all the same features as our regular River Chalets. Like the rest of the rooms they sit on the hill above the restaurant, nestled amongst the trees, with a private river-facing balcony reached by covered wooden walkways.
Only two of them
We have just 2 Family River Chalets at Hornbill Lodge, so if the dates matter to you it is worth booking early. The two rooms share a conjoining balcony which can be locked separately from either side. For one family travelling together that is a bonus: unlock it and you have a single large outdoor space connecting both rooms, which works well for parents and older children, or two families travelling as a group. Booked separately, each side locks and the balcony is private.

Good for families to know: Discounts are available for children aged 12 and below. Free child-size rubber boots are available at the lodge for jungle walks. Kids meals provided on request.
Accessibility
Due to our hillside location there is no step-free access to the rooms at Hornbill Lodge. The furthest rooms require climbing around 85 steps, the closest 10 to 20. If you need a closer room, please tell our team at the time of booking and we will do our best to place you near the restaurant and reception.
